Our Team

Cityparents Ltd is run by a team of working parents, the majority with City backgrounds, who are passionate about the support and resources they deliver to parents in corporate roles across the UK and beyond. Cityparents is owned by Louisa Symington-Mills (CEO and Founder).

At Cityparents we all work fully flexibly; part-time, remotely and predominantly term-time only. If you'd like to get in touch, we'd be delighted to hear from you and welcome all feedback. 

Events and Webinars:

Fran Murrells, Head of Events. Contact Fran for queries about our Cityparents network events (webinars/seminars), speakers, event hosting and membership/event booking enquiries.  

Fran has a passion for high quality events, with over 17 years event management experience working across financial services, education and advertising. Fran joined Cityparents in September 2018 and was instrumental in the launch of our webinar programme in March 2019. Fran now oversees our Live and On Demand programmes, including selecting and scheduling webinars and seminars. 


Susanne Leja, Client Coordinator. Contact Susanne for queries about our NHS partnership and related webinars. 

Susanne joined Cityparents in May 2019 bringing a wealth of experience working within the financial sector. She previously worked at Bloomberg L.P. for 9 years and gained significant experience in events and client relationship management through various customer facing, analytical and leadership roles. She is passionate about connecting and communicating with other working professionals and enabling them to improve their work-life balance.

Jill joined Cityparents in June 2020 as an Event Coordinator, working alongside Fran to ensure the smooth running of all Live Events and supporting the delivery of the On Demand programme. Jill has a background in the performing arts, media production and event coordination. She is passionate about creating and delivering bespoke and effective audience experiences. Originally from New York, Jill now lives in Surrey with her husband and two sons.


Kate Moerel, Workplace Content Co-Lead. Contact Kate for queries about Cityparents Workplace content.

Kate joined Cityparents in March 2020 as Co-Network Lead for Cityworks. For over 15 years, Kate lead business development and marketing for leading digital, creative agencies. Working with Workingmums to launch their flexible recruitment agency, and subsequently Hoxby as MD of Futureproofing Kate's belief was cemented that 'a world of work without bias' can be achieved by creating inclusive workplaces that support professionals. Kate lives in the New Forest with her husband and two children, aged six and eight. 


Kathryn Ryan, Workplace Content Co-Lead. Kathryn is currently on maternity leave.

Kathryn joined Cityparents in October 2017 and co-leads Cityworks alongside Kate. Kathryn started her career in HR, working for both the public and private sectors, before transitioning into management consultancy. Kathryn worked for leading consultancy firms for 10 years, helping corporate clients to drive HR efficiency and implement organisational change. Kathryn is married and has two daughters, aged three and one, and lives in London.

Anna Richards, Head of Communications & Marketing. Contact Anna for article, blog or podcast suggestions and media enquiries. 

Anna joined Cityparents in May 2019 as Head of Communications and Marketing. Previously, she spent 15 years working in PR and Communications, first in a WPP PR agency where she specialised in the Technology sector and then within the Brand, Communications and Marketing team at an international law firm. Anna lives in the Essex countryside with her husband, seven year old daughter and four year old son.

Christy joined Cityparents as Team Coordinator in November 2019. She has over 10 years experience supporting Directors of international corporate companies as well as within the charity sector. Originally from New Zealand, Christy now lives just outside of London with her husband and three boys aged five, four and three.


Louisa Symington-Mills, Founder & CEO. Contact Louisa for queries about Cityparents Ltd, corporate membership, our network activities and speaking opportunities. 

Louisa oversees all aspects of Cityparents Ltd's activities and established Cityparents (then known as Citymothers) in November 2012. For 10 years Louisa pursued a busy career in banking and finance as a top-3 Extel-ranked sell-side analyst covering listed alternative investment funds at Royal Bank of Scotland and then Jefferies, following the sale of RBS Hoare Govett. She subsequently became Chief Operating Officer at LPEQ (www.LPEQ.com), an international association of listed private equity companies. Prior roles were held at M&G Investment Management and a multi-family office. Louisa is married with two young children aged nine and seven.

Louisa was named one of the Global Finance 50 for 2015 by ICAEW and has received a number of awards recognising her work at Cityparents including:
