Message I returned to work in a new (bigger) role following a period of maternity leave taken for my second child. I felt a bit rusty coming back, was incredibly sleep deprived, had a string of unlucky incidents happen in my personal life that needed to be dealt with, and my manager used me a dumping ground for all the work she didn't want to do herself, freeing herself to take lots of time out of the office I was working 12 hour days and still drowning in work. 6 months in, I called it quits in favour of a role with more balance. The decision was awful but necessary to prevent a complete breakdown.

That sounds tough and, as you recognised, unsustainable. Are you in Professional Services now, or then, or both?
